Karen's second book grabbed my attention from the first page. Aside from the lovely imagery of Litchfield County and its surroundings, (which I'm partial to as I reside there as well)I found the candor Karen used to describe her clients' experiences very easy to identify with. Although I was saddened at the difficulties her character, Emma endures as the result of her ending marriage, she is someone who knows that the only way to move on is to get outside of the old "comfort zone". The book keenly captures the essence of how to pull oneself up by the bootstraps and create a rich life that is full of new opportunities for growth.I enjoyed the book very much and highly recommend this reading to anyone who is looking for an inspiring story of strength, courage, and yes, even a few laughs!
