We all know that our lives can change in a heartbeat; 9/11 proved that to be true for just about everyone.
That was pretty much the end of one chapter of my life; the fun and exciting ten years of living in NYC.
A new chapter began when I moved back to Cleveland in November of 2001; not always as fun and exciting as NYC, but very different.
Nothing in my life would ever be the same again except for one thing.
For me, moving back to Cleveland meant new living arrangements, an entirely new career, re-connecting with old friends and meeting new ones and so many other new experiences. Some were good, some not so much, but over the years I learned to adjust and adapt.
Some of the players in the game of life changed from time to time, but I always looked forward to the new players and the next chapters unfolding.
No, I didn’t forget to tell you about the one thing that would never be different in my life; it was “the right combination of people”.
It may not have always been the same people, but they were and are still with me to this day.

Having read the first story, The Right Combination of People, and finding it very compelling, especially the scenes from 9/11, I was anxious to read the sequel, Back in Cleveland. Boy, it did not disappoint - in fact, I couldn't put it down! Roger is a natural born storyteller and if truth be told, he has the kind of large, close knit family I have a family many would envy. The Right Combination of People really is the right book to read. It reminds you of the importance of family and friends. And the author's mother, Mickey, is a hoot. It will make you wish that you could meet her.
I loved this book... nothing about Roger's life is boring... and it was fun to read about so many memories from stories on ActiveRain ... members should check it out...you'll enjoy it!! Many are mentioned!
I love Roger's way of telling a story. His take on family, friends, work environments, and just everyday life is as realistic as it gets. An interesting and fun read.
Who says you can't go home again? In his sequel the author proves just the opposite - not only can you go home - you can also go forward towards new beginnings and exciting new carreers - all you have to do is be in the right place and meet the right combination of people - another delightful read of his journey.
We all want to be surrounded by "The Right Combination of People" and "Back in Cleveland" proves once again it's not what is gained in life but more important about the moments shared in life. I highly recommend this and the 3rd book in this trilogy "Pennies from Heaven"!
"Back in Cleveland", Roger Mucci's latest book, is a delightful read. Roger is an excellent story-teller who draws the reader in with his colorful characters and his rmany reactions to them. Roger picks up where he left off in "The Right Comination of People, giving us a further glimpse into is very interesting life. Definitely worth the time!
Since I played a huge part in this story I loved reminiscing about our crazy times at the company and the fun we had just hanging out together. Roger remains a great friend and I know there are more memories for us to make together.
